Illuvium’s list of beta entrants amounts to nearly 7K

Illuvium will soon be able to open up the beta to all ILV holders. The Land Sale was the first out of many numerous product drops planned to be released. On top of Survival Mode, Illuvium has Illuvium Zero, Illuvitars, Overworld, and Arena.

Illuvium’s co-founder Kieran has recently taken to Discord and Telegram to announce that the game has close to 7k beta players.

An amazing feat with many have joined

This is an amazing feat, given that this Play-to-earn game only launched its closed beta to 500 players back in April. With best-in-class graphics and AAA gameplay, Illuvium has certainly won the hearts of many RPG fans. Available on Windows and Mac, this P2E, open-world exploration, NFT creature collector/autobattler-hybrid game with city/land-building elements allows players to capture, train, and fuse over 100+ different beasts, all with unique and powerful abilities called Illuvials, and explore seven beautiful alien landscapes of the fractured Illuvium world.

Backed by the Ethereum blockchain, any Illuvial captured, material farmed, or crafted item will be a non-fungible token (colloquially known as an NFT) and stored in your crypto wallet. Verifiable and secure, these NFTs are 100% owned by the players themselves, and they can collect and trade them on IlluviDEX, Illuvium’s NFT marketplace.

The most up-to-date things from Illuvium

Seeing that, Kieran provided us with a few exciting updates as well. Though there may be some delays, the Illuvium team makes sure to constantly communicate with community members and update their progress. Many things are in progress. To list some of them that Kieran shared, we summarize as follows:

Firstly, Illuvium has gone straight onto Illuvitars, which are highly customizable and unique avatars used as profile pictures across all Illuvium products. Released in batches, each Illuvitar is made up of two separate parts: the Portrait, where each Portrait has a various number of different expressions, finishes, and backgrounds; and the Accessory, which can range from a myriad selection of headwear to props to collect.

Simultaneously, the game team is deep into delivering the new Survival Mode of the Arena portion of the game. As of now, the only mode players can access in closed beta is the PvE Survival Mode. This auto-battler mode is where players can use their Illuvials to build up a strong team to survive as long as possible against G4udi, a defective autonomous trainer drone and its own team of ever increasingly powerful Illuvials. So, it will be interesting to see how PvP will spice things up in Illuvium.

Secondly, Kieran also assured Illuvium fans that they are working hard to deliver their product, and that the gameplay release date will take some time to be announced. He has mentioned, in his own words, “We have hundreds of people working 12-hour days, six days a week. But we have not stopped pushing.” Due to the circumstances, Kieran asked for the fans’ patience and understanding when it comes to the game’s release date.

It does look like the Illuvium team is fully occupied at the moment since the team is trying to work on several games at the same time. This includes Illuvium Zero (a companion game for users who have bought a piece of land and can develop and oversee their digital industrial complex), Illuvitars, Overworld (explore the game’s world and gather resources, capture and/or fight Illuvials), and Arena (pit Illuvials against various PvE and PvP options). Additionally, the Survival Mode can’t be abandoned and needs constant updates too.

As Kieran shared, they are trying to strike a balance between releasing their games fast and delivering quality content. What we can do now to help Illuvium is to wait patiently and stay up to date with them on their social media channels.
