Cristiano Ronaldo and Binance – an exclusive, multi-year NFT relationship
The ability “to own an iconic piece of sports history and join CR7’s Web3 community”, as Binance put it, is special for its community.
Binance “will launch a global promotion aiming to give Ronaldo’s fans an introduction to Web3 with a compelling entry point into the world of NFTs.”
A number of NFT collections will be produced for sale by Binance and Cristiano Ronaldo. The sale event will be exclusively on the Binance NFT platform, specifically at www.binance.com/en/nft/home. Later this year, the inaugural NFT collection will be made available, and it will include designs created in collaboration with Ronaldo.
In the short announcement video, Cristiano Ronaldo said: “I am delighted to announce my partnership with Binance. Together we’re going to change the NFT game and take football to the next level,” adding “and this is just the beginning.”
Given the instagram only, Cristiano Ronaldo’s Instagram has more than 458 million followers. He also has over 100 million followers on Twitter and Facebook. Certainly, Cristiano Ronaldo will be a great figure to spread out web3 spirit and appeal more users to the blockchain world.
The same video was uploaded by Ronaldo on his social media accounts, where he urged his followers to join him to disrupt the NFT game with Binance.
Binance is elevating the experience of being a sports fan to new heights with this cooperation. Additionally, it will strengthen current alliances with the Brazilian Football Confederation, S.S. Lazio (IT), FC Porto, and the Argentine Football Association (PT).
Although there is currently a crypto winter, the Binance CEO, Changpeng Zhao, was upbeat earlier in June. Zhao stated that this is his third crypto winter and Binance’s second experience with this kind of market circumstance, suggesting that the company is experienced in navigating through a bear market. In addition, the CEO of Binance stated that they will take advantage of the chance to employ the best talent that is available at this moment.
Cristiano Ronaldo, Binance and web3
Ronaldo received cryptocurrency tokens for his sporting accomplishments back in March. For each senior career goal the soccer player scored, he received JUV tokens, the club’s official fan token.
Prior to the collaboration with Cristiano Ronaldo, top cryptocurrency company Binance has also teamed up with TikTok sensation Khabi Lem, who presently has 142 million followers on the app, to promote all things Web3.
The orientation and ambition to dominate the nascent industry of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology rings true to the largest exchange platform, Binance.
